History of Student Day

The International Conference of 1941 instituted Student Day in London. This 1941 international conference succeeded in recognizing November 17 as Independence Day and in its efforts to encourage students. The negotiations were led by Tarzanik, Pelek, Kivan, and NUS Vice President Lena Chevres, and more than fourteen countries agreed and signed on the occasion of International Students’ Day.

Students from the United Kingdom and other countries, namely India, North, and South America, the USSR, Belgium, France, Greece, China, the Netherlands, Norway, Poland, Yugoslavia, and all independent countries who rejected Nazi oppression and Condemned the occupation of 1939, he decided to celebrate this International Day.
